ATTENTION RICEVILLE CUSTOMERS: Our Riceville office is without power, internet, and phone service. Because of this, we are closing today 9/03/2026. We are hoping to reopen with regular business hours tomorrow 9/04/2026.

Free Shred Event is Planned

Community members are invited to safely dispose of confidential papers at First Security's annual free shred event. The schedule is listed below.

Shred bins will be at the following First Security locations between Wednesday, September 7th and Friday, September 16th.

  • Dumont
  • Manly
  • Nora Springs
  • Riceville
  • Rockford
  • Rockwell
  • Thornton

The shred truck will be at the following First Security locations on Saturday, September 10th from 10am - 12pm.

  • Charles City
  • Hampton

Due to the shred truck's ability to shred thousands of pounds of paper, this is an ideal option for businesses or individuals with very large amounts of paper to dispose of.
