First Security Announces Promotions of Becky Kirchgatter, Danielle Tegtmeier, and Robin Coyle

Becky has been promoted to Loan Assistant Supervisor. Becky joined the bank in 2020 as a Loan Administrative Specialist, a position now known as Loan Assistant. Not only will she continue with duties from that role, but she will also train, oversee, and provide leadership to the Loan Assistant team.

“Becky’s willingness to take on additional challenges earlier this year has demonstrated her strong ability to deliver for the team. I am happy that she chose to step into a new role and manage the loan assistants,” said Chief Lending Officer Scott Smits. “With the added demands of the ag renewal season, her extra support will be greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to working with her over the coming months and am excited to see what else is in store for 2025!”

Becky is a graduate of Nora Springs-Rock Falls High School and has spent many years working in the area. She has worked in management, as a Numerical Control Programmer, and as a Clerk for the Cerro Gordo County Recorder’s Office. In her new role, she will be responsible for analyzing financial statements and preparing loan presentations with the goal of evaluating the financial condition of customers and those applying for credit.

Credit Administration Supervisor Dave Ragsdale said, “We are excited to have Danielle join the Credit Department. She had taken on many new challenges within her prior Portfolio Manager role and actively sought educational opportunities to grow her knowledge base. Her display of our core values and understanding of our systems will immediately make her a valuable addition to the Credit team.”

Before joining First Security, Danielle worked as a Loan Documentation Specialist, a Customer Service Supervisor, a Certified Pharmacy Technician, and a Logistics Specialist.

Since starting at the bank, she has gotten married and started a family. She has enjoyed working in her hometown again.
