Billi Herman Promoted to Assistant Vice President, Compliance Specialist

Billi Herman has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Compliance Specialist. Billi joined the bank in 2014 as a Branch Office Representative at First Security’s location in Manly. Before long, she began working in Charles City as a Retail Generalist. When First Security implemented Video Banking in 2015, Herman was one of the first people to learn how to operate the technology, becoming First Security’s first Video Banking Supervisor. Later, she also assumed the duties of Teller Supervisor in Charles City. In 2020, she was promoted to Compliance Specialist.

“Billi’s name is one that consistently gets brought up as a top performer,” said Brad. “She has done a lot of really great things revolving around compliance and fraud training and she makes sure we have the tools to address these things. She bends over backwards to assist other departments when needed.”

Billi is a graduate of Buena Vista University where she majored in Banking and Finance as well as Management. She also achieved a distributive minor in Agency Administration. She has received her Supervisor’s Certificate through the ABA and is a graduate of the IBA Leadership Institute. After graduating from the latter program, she became a member of the IBA’s Emerging Leaders Peer Group. In 2021, Billi completed the IBA Deposit Operations Compliance School and the IBA Lending Compliance School. In 2023, she completed the ABA Foundation to Compliance school.
