Cassidie Parks Receives Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Credential

HR/Marketing Assistant Cassidie Parks recently received the SHRM-CP credential. To achieve this prestigious designation, Cassidie participated in a 14-week preparation course through North Iowa Area Community College, studied for many hours beyond class time, and spent several hours completing the exam. Successful applicants and credential holders are recognized as experts and leaders in the Human Resource (HR) field.

According to SHRM, which is “the industry leader in the HR professional development,” this credential is the only competency-based HR certification focused on the knowledge and behaviors needed to be proficient in the ever-changing and sometimes challenging line of HR work.

Chief Administrative Officer Heidi Worrall said, “She took it upon herself to go above and beyond to expand her knowledge and skills. We are very proud and excited for her, and we feel very fortunate to have her at First Security. Congratulations, Cassidie!”

Cassidie added, “I am excited to apply the knowledge I’ve gained through this accomplishment to better support the staff and my team at First Security. Thank you to the bank for the opportunity to continue my growth in Human Resources.”

Cassidie has been a member of the Charles City community since 2010. She joined First Security as Video Banking Supervisor in 2020 before accepting a role as HR/Marketing Assistant in 2022.

Outside of work, Cassidie is a busy mom to two daughters and enjoys spending time with them and her husband. Together, they enjoy riding ATVs and minibikes (she also recently received a motorcycle license!) as well as crafting.
