Deb Moore Announces Retirement

After a banking career spanning over 3 decades, Deb Moore has announced her plans to retire on March 1st, 2024. First Security will hold a private celebration in her honor.

Deb started her career with First State Bank in Riceville. At that time, she covered many responsibilities as required for a smaller bank. These duties ranged from bookkeeping and personal banking to loan operations and compliance, to name just a few. After First State Bank’s merger with First Security in 2009, her role became more specialized. From 2010 to 2012, she worked as a Real Estate Loan Administrative Specialist in Charles City, and in 2012, she became the Compliance Specialist in Charles City. In 2014, she moved back to the Riceville office, and in 2016, she took on additional duties as First Security’s Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Coordinator. In 2020, she was promoted to Assistant BSA Officer, and in 2022, she was promoted again to Assistant Vice President.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Deb for her remarkable career and offer our best wishes for a fulfilling retirement ahead,” said Vice President, Compliance Manager Evelyn Schroeder. “Deb’s departure carries with it a wealth of knowledge and experience that is irreplaceable. I value the contributions she has made to our team, and her absence will be felt by all of us. Deb has truly earned this, and we are grateful for her dedication.”
