IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR ALL FIRST SECURITY BANK CUSTOMERS AS OF JULY 23RD, 2020: Due to the rising number of coronavirus cases in and around our area, First Security is now asking all customers who enter our lobbies to wear a mask or similar face covering. We will be providing disposable masks for those who enter without masks of their own.

We were all very excited to reopen many of our lobbies several weeks ago to better serve you, and at this point we are planning to keep them open. To do so safely, we need to do everything we can to limit the spread of infection in our communities so we can continue to serve you. We greatly appreciate your cooperation.

If you'd like to visit with a banker, please click here to schedule an appointment.

We also encourage you to explore the services we offer to help you bank from a distance. You may find these services even more convenient than visiting the lobby. These services are listed at the bottom of this article.

JUNE 17TH 2020 UPDATE: Phased reopening plan now underway at First Security Bank & Trust. 5 locations open Wednesday with more planned for July 1.

After much planning, organizing, and excitement, First Security Bank & Trust is proud to announce that a phased reopening process has begun. As of Wednesday, June 17th, five locations are now back open during regular business hours. Four more locations are planned to reopen on July 1st, with the remainder to reopen on a date to be announced.

Lobby Reopening Schedule:

  • June 17: Charles City, Hampton, Manly, Nora Springs, Riceville
  • July 1: Dumont, Rockford, Rockwell, Thornton
  • TBA: Aredale, Ionia, Marble Rock, Rudd

To achieve this reopening goal, we have reorganized our lobbies to meet health guidelines. Visitors are encouraged to wear masks, maintain distance while in lobbies, and keep any pens they use during their visit. Protective barriers are in place between customers and employees, and disposable masks and hand sanitizer will be provided. We’ve produced a music video to help explain these changes, which can be seen by playing the video above.

Items left in night drop boxes will be retrieved each business day at locations with closed lobbies. We also encourage you to explore the services we offer to help you bank from a distance. You may find these services even more convenient than visiting the lobby:

Safety is our highest priority in this decision. We must be confident in our ability to maintain your health and the health of our employees, who want to continue serving you. We greatly appreciate your continued patience.
