First Security’s Lacy Schoenfeldt Receives Promotion

First Security is happy to share that Lacy Schoenfeldt has been promoted to Retail Lender.

Lacy joined First Security 9 years ago in a behind-the-scenes role within the Loan Operations department. Over the years, she served in several capacities, becoming more and more specialized. Since her start at the bank, she has been promoted twice. She was promoted to Loan Operations Specialist in 2019, and then in 2020, she was promoted to Retail Lending Specialist. As Retail Lending Specialist, she both served as a Consumer Lender and provided support to the Real Estate Lenders and Advisors. Now as a Retail Lender, she will add decision-making regarding mortgage loan applications to her list of responsibilities.

Vice President, Retail Lending Manager Kim Schlader said, “Lacy has been a valuable team member for our department. She’s a quick learner and a great resource for others in the bank. I have no doubt she’ll be successful in her new role with the additional responsibility of real estate loans.”

Lacy is a Charles City native and graduate of North Iowa Area Community College. Last year, she broadened her lending knowledge by attending the Iowa Bankers Association Consumer Credit School. The school is an intense one-week program with the goal of helping students learn to better meet the credit needs of their customers and communities. She also has earned and maintained a license to sell credit life and disability insurance.

When not at work, she enjoys relaxing, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
