Kathy Steere Promoted to Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager

Kathy Steere has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager. Kathy has been with First Security since October of 2010, when she joined the bank as a Teller at First Security’s office in Charles City. She was later promoted to Head Teller, Teller Supervisor, and then Retail Banking Supervisor. In 2021, she was promoted to Branch Manager and began overseeing all retail banking functions and staff at the Manly, Nora Springs, and Rockford offices. As Assistant Vice President, she will continue with these duties.

Kathy has developed a wide array of experience in her roles and has taken advantage of educational opportunities in the areas of leadership and finance. She graduated from the Iowa Bankers Association (IBA) Leadership Institute and later joined the IBA Emerging Leaders Peer Group. She has also completed the IBA Consumer Credit School. This has all contributed to her being a great resource for both customers and coworkers.
