Get to Know Caysie
Caysie Christensen joined First Security in 2021 as a Teller in Charles City. She soon transitioned into a dual role supporting both the Teller team and Video Bankers, assisting customers with daily transactions in person and via video. In 2022, she was promoted to Lead Video Banker and advanced to Video Banking Supervisor in early 2023. In this role, she supports the Video Banking team by providing training, answering questions, and helping ensure a strong understanding of ITM technology and banking procedures.
Caysie splits her heart between people, pets, and popcorn; she volunteers with the mobile food pantry, PAWS Humane Society, the Charles City Chamber of Commerce board, and the Charles Theatre. Caysie is also very involved in her church. On Sundays, she helps with kids’ ministry and plays occasional kitchen magician, and on Wednesdays, Caysie is a youth leader, which is a whole adventure of its own. She is always finding new ways to give back, and when the work is done, Caysie is cuddled up with her family and pets, refueling with love (and snacks!).
The Most Rewarding
Part of my Job
The most rewarding part of my job is connecting with customers who genuinely appreciate the conveniences our bank provides. It’s always a bright spot to hear their stories and know I’ve made their day a bit easier. Helping kind and thoughtful people makes it all worthwhile.
What I'm Doing
Outside of Work
I’m a mix of paint smudges, garden soil, and half-finished books. I write when the mood strikes, snap photos of anything that makes me feel something, and believe every family outing is an adventure waiting to happen. I will stop mid-sentence to pet any animals, too!
Something You Wouldn't
Guess About Me
I’ve taken several psychology classes and have a real fascination with how the mind works-especially the “why” behind people’s behavior. I’m particularly interested in criminal psychology and dream of writing a book based on real conversations with those who’ve committed crimes. I’m also deeply curious about how children think, learn, and develop-it’s amazing to explore what shapes their understanding of the world.
