Chief Financial Officer Melissa Jones Completes Graduate School of Banking at University of Wisconsin-Madison

First Security is proud to share that Melissa Jones, Chief Financial Officer, has graduated from the Graduate School of Banking (GSB) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The program is one of the nation’s premier leadership development and executive education programs for banking professionals.

This prestigious 25-month program combines lectures, simulations, case studies, and hands-on projects to help banking leaders strengthen customer retention, grow market share, manage risk, leverage technology, improve financial performance, and lead organizational change. Designed for mid-to-senior-level managers, it emphasizes practical, real-world application through instruction from experienced banking faculty, access to collaborative networking, and customized projects. Graduates also complete a capstone bank management simulation that brings all the concepts together.

“This achievement is a reflection of Melissa’s commitment to becoming a great banker,” said First Security’s President/CEO Brad Miller. “I’ve enjoyed working with Melissa, and I look forward to seeing how the skills she’s gained through GSB will make a difference to the bank, its employees, and by extension, to our customers and communities we serve.”

Diplomas were awarded during GSB’s commencement ceremony on Thursday, August 6th in Madison, Wisconsin. In addition to a GSB diploma, Melissa earned a Certificate of Executive Leadership from the Wisconsin School of Business Center for Professional and Executive Development.
