Danielle Tegtmeier Completes Iowa Bankers Association’s Commercial Lending School
First Security is happy to announce that Danielle Tegtmeier has completed the Iowa Bankers Association (IBA) 2025 Commercial Lending School.
The school is a one-week program with the intent to prepare commercial lenders without exposure to formal commercial lending education, or lenders looking to broaden their commercial lending knowledge, to serve more efficiently and profitably as a commercial loan officer. The program is structured for students to develop a better understanding of the economy and how it affects lending decisions, business structure, how the business competes, and the role of company management. Attending the school demonstrates commitment to professional growth and expertise. Graduates will use their knowledge to further serve their clients and local communities.
Danielle has been with First Security since 2017 and has progressed through a series of roles in the lending department. For the past year, she has been developing in the Credit Analyst position, including mastering this lending school, and applying it to her role in underwriting the bank’s loan portfolio.
Chief Credit Officer Cathi Luett commented “I very much appreciate Danielle’s passion for delivering the best service and diligence. She has learned from lending support duties and interaction with our customers that numbers tell part of a story, but our greater role is to help our customers have successful outcomes. As she is given more opportunity to apply the depth of the Commercial Lending School in collaboration with our lenders, our customers and communities will benefit.”
