Kati Woodley, Ashley Engels, Danielle Tegtmeier & Melissa Jones Complete Iowa Banker's Association Intro to Commercial Lending School
First Security Bank & Trust is pleased to announce that Kati Woodley, Ashley Engels, Danielle Tegtmeier, and Melissa Jones have successfully completed the 2024 Introduction to Commercial Lending School held October 15-17 in Cedar Rapids.
The school is an intense three-day program sponsored by the Iowa Bankers Association. The purpose of the IBA Introduction to Commercial Lending school is to give students a basic understanding of the principles and concepts of commercial lending. The curriculum for the school involves an extensive case study, as well as classroom lecture and problem loan exercises.
Kati Woodley, Ag/Commercial Lender in Hampton, started with First Security in the spring of 2024. Prior to joining First Security, Kati worked in the ag financial industry for nearly 6 years. She started as an Office Manager, was promoted to Credit Analyst, and ended her career as a Loan Officer. Her primary focus was ag operating financing.
Ashley Engels started with First Security in 2015 as a Loan Administrative Assistant before moving into the Loan Operations Supervisor position. Since then, she has transitioned to working in Rockford as a member of the Ag/Commercial lending team. Prior to her banking career, Ashley received her bachelor’s degree in real estate.
Danielle Tegtmeier joined First Security in 2017 as Ag/Commercial Loan Administrative Specialist. In 2021, Danielle started working on the Ag/Commercial lending team in the Nora Springs location. Prior to joining First Security, Danielle worked as a Loan Documentation Specialist, a Customer Service Supervisor, a Certified Pharmacy Technician, and a Logistics Specialist.
Melissa Jones, Assistant Vice President/Accounting Manager and Cashier, has been with First Security since 2019. She started as the bank’s Accounting Assistant and continuously added responsibilities to her role throughout the last several years. Prior to joining First Security in Charles City, she worked for nearly eight years in the banking industry in a variety of areas ranging from teller work, operations, and even marketing.
