First Security Foundation Donates $10,000 to Marble Rock Park Board for Splash Pad
The Shell Rock River meanders through Marble Rock, IA, and provides recreational opportunities for the town. However, natural bodies of water can pose their own risks.
Marble Rock Park Board, a local nonprofit dedicated to community improvement, has recommended a splash pad be installed at City Park. This project will provide a place to cool off, so that young families can enjoy being outside in a safe, controlled environment. A splash pad mitigates risks, supports the economy as a tourist attraction and provides a fun way for residents to spend time together.
Though recently proposed, the project has gained strong momentum. Steady financial progress has been made with local and regional organizations’ contributions, including a $10,000 donation from the First Security Foundation.
The First Security Foundation is proud to support this effort, which will enhance the community’s recreational activities, resident safety, and benefit Marble Rock citizens of all ages.
