First Security Welcomes Abby Marr

Abby Marr has joined First Security as an Ag/Commercial Loan Specialist out of the Riceville office. In her role, she supports the lending team by gathering, preparing, and processing loan documentation, while also assisting with a variety of administrative and customer service responsibilities.

Abby earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education and is on track to complete her master's degree in education at the end of June. Prior to joining First Security, she taught sixth-grade science and English in Osage.

When asked what interested her about working at First Security, Abby shared, “I grew up on a farm in Riceville, so when the opportunity arose, I thought it would be a great way to experience a different side of the agricultural world.”

Outside of work, Abby volunteers at her church and enjoys spending time with her family. She also likes being outdoors and playing board games. On weekends, she can often be found sitting around a fire listening to country music.
