A digital wallet from Google
Using your First Security Visa® debit card just became easier.
Google Pay™ is a contactless payment technology that makes paying as easy as pulling out an Android phone. Your card information is never shared with stores because Google Pay doesn’t send actual card numbers with payments.
Google Pay is accepted at more than 2 million stores across the U.S. and is now available in your favorite Android apps. And more merchants are being added every day, including grocery stores, restaurants, hotels and more!

If you don’t already have the Google Pay app on your device, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
- Open the Google Pay app.
- At the bottom right, touch “+.”
- Tap “Add a credit or debit card.”
- Use the camera to capture your card information or enter it manually.
Once your card has been added, wake up and unlock your device when you are ready to make a payment. Then, hold your device near the contactless reader until your device beeps or vibrates and a checkmark appears on the screen indicating your payment is complete.
How secure is a Google Pay transaction?
Your card in Google Pay is protected by your secure Android device lock-pin, password or pattern. For your security, when making a purchase using Google Pay, you must unlock your device using device lock. All your payment information will be encrypted with SSL (secure socket layer) technology and stored on secure servers. Your card details are never shared with the merchant when you make payments in the store.
How does Google Pay work?
To use Google Pay for purchases in-store, you must first add your eligible card on your NFC-enabled (near field communicator) Android device running Lollipop 5.0 or higher. If you don’t already have the Google Pay app on your device, you can download it from the Google Play Store.

Google Pay works with credit or debit cards from participating card issuing banks on any NFC-enabled Android device running Lollipop 5.0 or higher for in-store purchases. Customers can use devices that are not NFC-enabled to make Google Pay purchases in merchant mobile apps.
Is Google Pay free?
