First Security is excited to announce that Kim D. Schlader has earned the Certified Community Lender (CCL) certification from the National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America (NAMMBA). NAMMBA is a leading national trade association dedicated to advancing women and minorities in the real estate finance industry. The CCL certification recognizes excellence in social impact lending and highlights a strong commitment to serving clients’ needs while fostering homeownership and generational wealth in our communities.
To obtain the CCL certification, Schlader completed eight courses covering key areas such as community collaboration, effective communication, and networking. Less than 5% of mortgage professionals achieve this prestigious designation.
Schlader started at First Security in 2001 as a Retail Lender with over 20 years of experience in banking. In 2020 she was promoted to VP, Retail Lending Manager. Kim is a former student of NIACC and the University of Northern Iowa. She has been a lifelong resident of Charles City and has been a very active volunteer in the community.
