Natalia Henning and Ashley Engels Earn Certificate from Consumer Credit School.

Natalia Henning and Ashley Engels have successfully completed the Iowa Bankers Association Consumer Credit School in Ankeny.

The Consumer Credit School is designed for professionals seeking to expand their knowledge of consumer lending or gain formal education in the field. The program focuses on building a strong understanding of consumer credit functions, enhancing knowledge of management within credit operations, and developing the administrative and interpersonal skills needed to effectively meet customer credit needs. Its overall goal is to prepare participants to serve successfully as consumer credit officers.

Ashley joined First Security in 2015 and has earned several promotions during her career, all within the bank’s lending areas. Most recently, she served as an Ag/Commercial Lender at the Rockford branch. In her current role as Retail Lending Specialist, she underwrites and makes decisions on consumer loan applications and supports Retail Lenders with mortgage closings.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in real estate and is also a graduate of the Iowa Bankers Association Introduction to Commercial Lending School. Ashley brought prior banking experience to First Security and was previously a licensed realtor.

Natalia joined First Security in 2020 as a Teller at the Charles City location, where she assisted customers with daily banking transactions and built strong relationships. Within six months, she was promoted to Retail Advisor. In this role, she opens accounts, manages IRAs, and processes consumer and mortgage loan applications.

Originally from Buenos Aires, Natalia moved to the United States after meeting her husband, a native of Clarksville. The couple previously lived in Arizona, where she worked as a Spanish/English interpreter, before relocating to Iowa in 2020.
