New Year, New Career?
A new year is around the corner and with it the beginning of many resolutions. Maybe it’s saving money, being less stressed, exercising more, or finding a new job.
The latter, finding a new job, might help with all the rest! How?
- Well, at First Security, gym memberships are subsidized for employees, making a resolution revolving around fitness more attainable.
- An excellent PTO package allowing for time at home or vacations reduces stress.
- Lower insurance costs may allow for more money in your bank account and the bank’s 401(k) package can help you save for retirement faster.
Even if these goals aren’t part of your new year’s resolutions, these benefits (and more) might still interest you.
However, maybe you’re unsure whether the tasks involved in a banking career or an office environment are right for you. Now, you have the opportunity to ask US some questions before you ever even apply!
Join us at our Meet and Greet event on Thursday, January 12th from 4 pm to 6 pm at First Security in Charles City (809 Clark Street).
The event is intended to be informal. There are no strings attached. It’s simply an opportunity for you to explore, ask questions, and decide if you’d even be interested in applying, now or in the future. You’re even welcome to bring a friend!
Don’t have banking experience or a finance degree? You’re still very welcome to join us. Many at First Security have backgrounds in waitressing, cosmetology, healthcare, and more.
As former physical therapy graduate student and current First Security Loan Assistant Supervisor Kelsey Carpenter said, “Don't be afraid to try. Even if you think it's something that you never pictured yourself doing…I mean, the worst that can happen is you can figure out that it's not for you, but you won't know unless you try.”

If you have any questions before attending, please call 641-257-1213.
We hope to see you there!
