Shredding Confidential Papers: Why, Where, & How
New this year!
- Please bring a food pantry donation in exchange for shredding service.
- Appointments are required for 5 or more boxes of shred. To schedule, please call 641-257-1241. If an appointment is not made, we cannot guarantee service.
We want to help keep personal documents private, so we are offering a FREE shred event for our communities!
From August 19th until September 7th, bins will be available during business hours at the following First Security Bank locations: Manly, Nora Springs, Riceville, Rockford, and Rockwell.
On September 3rd, a shred truck will be available at the following locations and times:
- Charles City
- 809 Clark St. Charles City, IA 50616
- East of the bank on the south side of the Hy-Vee parking lot
- 9:30 am-11:30 am
- Hampton
- 100 1st St. NW Hampton, IA 50441
- In the street just south of the bank
- 12:45 pm-2:45 pm
We can accept
Copy paper, letterhead, computer paper, fax paper, white and colored paper, shiny or coated paper, magazines, brochures, carbonless forms, sticky notes, white or gold envelopes with/without envelopes, business cards, manila folders (light metal clips), staples, paper clips, and spiral notebooks.
We cannot accept
Tissue paper, paper towels, steel strip in hanging file folders, 3-ring binders, carbon paper, newspaper, cardboard, photos, metals, glass, food, plastic, or batteries.
