Get to Know Bobbi

Bobbi Spainhower has dedicated 12 years to First Security Investment Services after a career in education. Once she and her husband moved to Iowa, Bobbi discovered a passion for financial services, and since emerging in this field, she has earned several key licenses and designations. She has earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS™), FINRA Series 7, FINRA Series 66, and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®).

Bobbi is very involved in her community. She volunteers with organizations like Charles City Rotary Club and serves on the Floyd County Historical Society Endowment Board. Bobbi is originally from Utah, and her family relocated to Iowa in 2008 for her husband’s job. Since the move, they have embraced the charm of a small-town, Midwestern lifestyle.

The most rewarding part of my job is helping clients achieve financial success and security.

What I'm Doing Outside of Work
Studying, studying, studying! I am working to achieve my Certified Financial Planner® credential, and that requires successfully passing many exams and completing thousands of supervised working hours.

I was a Montessori teacher, and hiking is my favorite pastime!

Get to Know Kelsey

Kelsey joined the bank in 2021 as Loan Assistant Supervisor, leading and supporting the Ag and Commercial Loan Assistant team before being promoted to Portfolio Manager working closely with ag and commercial lenders. In her current role as Investment Services Assistant, she supports clients and Financial Advisors through service requests, transactions, referrals, and administrative support.

Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and learning new things on the farm. She lives outside Nashua with her husband, two dogs, and their daughter.

The Most Rewarding Part of my Job
The most rewarding part of my job is getting to know our customers and matching them with the products that best fit their needs. I enjoy meeting new customers, learning their goals, and helping them reach the finish line.

What I'm Doing Outside of Work
Outside of work, I enjoy helping with cattle on the farm, spending time outdoors, and visiting the lake in Minnesota during the summer. I love making memories with my husband and daughter.

I majored in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and earned my coaching endorsement in college but ultimately found my career path in banking.

Get to Know Ann

Ann brings 35 years of professional experience to First Security, though her career journey began in special education. She developed a deep passion for learning alongside her students, which shaped her long and fulfilling career. After retiring from education in May 2024, Ann embraced a new opportunity and joined the Wealth Management team in August 2024. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education with an emphasis in Special Education from the University of Northern Iowa and later earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University.

Ann enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends, participating in activities like camping, kayaking, biking, and golfing. Married for 35 years, she and her husband cherish time with their three children and adore their three grandchildren. Ann’s family are enthusiastic fans of the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Cubs, and Iowa State Cyclones.

The most rewarding part of my job is being a part of the process that helps people achieve their financial goals.

What I'm Doing Outside of Work
I love spending time with my family including my three young grandkids. I also have a lot of siblings, my mom, and in-laws that I love to be with as well. I like many outdoor activities including camping, kayaking, and biking. I also like to watch live and televised sports including Iowa State, Chicago Cubs, and Minnesota Vikings!

Get to Know Carly

Carly Demro joined First Security Bank in 2018 in the Service Center and later transitioned to the Trust Operations Specialist role. Her previous professional experience includes working as a Visitor Services Associate at the Science Center of Iowa in Des Moines and at Meredith Corporation, where she prepared recipes for social media videos and photos. Carly graduated from Nashua-Plainfield High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Buena Vista University. She earned the prestigious Accredited Trust Operations Professional (ATOP) designation in 2024. A passionate baker, Carly frequently has sold her homemade goods at local events.

In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, spending time on the river, and hanging out with her dog, Indiana Bones.

Anila Kloberdanz joined First Security Bank in 2017, bringing with her two years of prior experience in the financial industry along with valuable insight gained through her business degree. Over the years, she has served in both Lending and Collections roles, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to excellence. In 2024, she earned the prestigious Accredited Trust Operations Professional (ATOP) designation, further strengthening her expertise in the field.

Anila, her husband, two daughters, and dog live in Charles City, and the family is very active in the community. They enjoy the outdoors, and in particular, spend their time boating, fishing, and relaxing around bonfires.
